The four green shapes in the CI-TRADE logo represent the unification of the four key areas of "Creative Industries", "Technology", "Research and Development" and "Education". Together, these combine to form an upside-down "A": the same symbol that represents "universal" in mathematical logic, and also appears in the "CI-TRADE" name. The technology and environment park that houses CI-TRADE is represented by the overall shape of the logo, and by the logo's green colour. Leading the way at the peak of the design is the pentagon, symbol of Hakodate.
